Quality enhancement of mobile recieved video data

Automobiles of the upper- and middle class make more and more use of multimedia systems. Besides radio reception, the demand for mobile analog and digital TV will increase in future. Recent TV-Tuner use a lot of hardware features to establish a undisturbed mobile reception. But through the mobile channel, there are still a huge amount of visible artifacts.

In this research project Video Processing methods will be investigated and developed, to enhance the image quality of analog mobile received videos. Through shadowing and multipath fading noise and ghosts appear in the received frames. To reduce these errors, Video Processing methods will be analyzed and developed.

In the case of DVB-T, despite of error protections one can see wrong decoded video data. These errors occur through the transmission to the moving automobile. Here also methods for error correction and image quality enhancement will be investigated and developed.
